Boko Haram Gunmen Attack Adamawa Village
21 people have been murdered as Boko Haram terrorists attacked a village in Adamawa state, northeastern Nigeria and set it on fire, residents told newsmen on Tuesday.
According to reports obtained by Naija News, the militants, arrived the Kuda village of Adamawa State late on Monday afternoon, packed into four trucks and accompanied by gunmen on motorbikes, firing as they came and leaving blood and destruction behind.
The village of Kuda is situated in the Madagali district of Adamawa state, some 285 kilometres (177 miles) north of the state capital Yola. 
Villagers were forced to run away to safety during the attack but returned on Tuesday to bury the dead and take stock of what was left after the fighters left, Nigeria News reports.
“They opened fire on residents, killing 21 people,” said community leader Maina Ularamu. “They burnt several homes.”
Ularamu reportedly lost three brothers-in-law in the attack.
Paul Waramulu who spoke to Nigeria News by phone also recounts that “Two-thirds of the village has been burnt.”
Waramulu added that the Boko Haram fighters looted food supplies before setting fire to buildings.
He further noted that many villagers were still terrified and hiding in surrounding bush.
As at the time of filing this report, there had been no official comment from the army or police on the incident.
