Biafra: Nnamdi Kanu Reveals Why IPOB Must Boycott Nigeria’s Election

The leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, says members of his group must boycott the forthcoming elections in Nigeria because that is the “smartest way to cripple evil dictators”.

Citing Ian Smith of Zimbabwe, De Klerk of South Africa and Maduro of Venezuela, Kanu said when people participate in “sham elections” they bestow legitimacy on such election.

Naija News reports that the IPOB leader, who relocated to the United Kingdom from Israel ahead of his group’s planned referendum February 16, made this comment on the micro-blogging site, Twitter, where he added that people become “complicit” when they participate in “sham elections”.
