Presidency Slams IPOB’s Nnamdi Kanu
Lauretta Onochie, social media aide to President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria has declared that Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) was never banished from the country.
She made the declaration in reaction to a report that some monarchs in Orlu, Imo State were pleading with President Buhari to allow Kanu come back to Nigeria to bury his mother.
Naija News had reported earlier that Kanu’s mother died August 30 in Germany, the IPOB leader announced in a video sighted by our correspondent.
The IPOB leader had lamented that the events of the “14th of September 2017” (the invasion of his hometown by the Nigerian military during operation python dance), contributed “immensely to her ill-health which unfortunately the doctors were not able to do anything about.”
However, reacting to the alleged pleas by the traditional rulers on behalf of the IPOB leader, Onochie speaking via her Twitter account said: “He should go to the Nigerian High Commission London

It will be recalled that Kanu, who is leading the IPOB group which has since been proscribed by the Federal Government of Nigeria led by President Muhammadu Buhari has on many occasions, referred to Nigeria as a zoo.
