The Police Command in Bauchi State has noted that following the directive of President Muhammadu Buhari to curtail the spread of Coronavirus, the state has imposed a curfew.
The Spokesperson of the Bauchi State Police Command DSP Kamal Datti Abubakar, on Monday, stated that the command is working with other security operatives in the state to enforce the directive effective from Monday, May 4, 2020.
Mr Abubakar called on the public to follow the new directives, he further stated that the directives will begin from 8:00 pm to 6:00 am daily across the state.
“There is a ban of non-essential movement in and out of the state.”
“The Commissioner of Police, CP Phillip S. Maku, appeals for the cooperation of the members of the public in this regard as he warns officers and men deployed for this operation to ensure observance of human rights of the citizens and strictly adhere to the Force rules of engagement in the discharge of their duties.”
