Recall that ASUU on August 29 announced the extension of the ongoing strike after a heated meeting of the national executive council (NEC) held at the University of Abuja.
The counsel to the Federal government pleaded that the court give the suit an accelerated hearing as it was urgent to enable students to return to school.
He further urged the strike to be called off since the case is in court.
But counsel to ASUU and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Femi Falana, said the union are currently meeting with stakeholders to ensure that the matter is resolved.
He further appealed to the government to cooperate with the union to resolve the matter.
