Veteran Nollywood actor, Hanks Anuku, has declared his intention to run for the office of the presidency.
Naija News reports that this is coming a few hours after the actor revealed he is hale and hearty amidst his disturbing video that went viral online.
In a chat with Premium Times, Hanks said he would never be in the condition that people wish him and assured Nigerians that he is strong sane and wealthy.
According to the actor, he would be contesting as Nigerian president, although he did not reveal the year it would happen. 
He said: “I will never be what they say I am because I am more significant than that. I am in Asaba at the moment, and I’m doing ok. I am alive, sane, strong, blessed and wealthy. I will be contesting as President of Nigeria”
Recall that a video of Hanks wearing rags has been making the rounds online with many Nigerians expressing concern for him.
While some Nigerians claim his health condition might be related to drug consumption, others said he is going through hard times.
Reacting to this, Shan George, took to her Instagram page to debunk the speculations surrounding the video.
According to her, the viral video is a scene from a movie and they are currently in Asaba filming.
She also shared photos and a video of them on a movie set in Asaba.
Barely a few hours after Shan’s statement, a contradicting post from her colleague, Adanma Luke, was shared online insisting that Hanks is not fine.
Hanks Speaks
In a video shared on his Instagram story on Friday, Hanks Anuku said those spreading and writing fake stories about him should leave him alone.
The actor noted, he is available for all movie productions and anyone who needs help can contact him.
According to the veteran actor, he has been on the movie set adding that the Holy Spirit will forgive those riding on the footage and pictures from a movie set to destroy his image.
