Abuja-Kaduna Train Attack: Obi Of Onitsha Reveals How Phone Call Saved His Life

The Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Nnaemeka Alfred Achebe, has revealed how a phone call saved him from boarding the Abuja-Kaduna train that was attacked on Monday.

The Abuja-Kaduna train which was attacked by bandits left some passengers dead, injured and others kidnapped.

The monarch revealed on Saturday, April 2nd during a meeting with Igbo leaders under the aegis of Ahamefuna Socio-cultural organization in Enugu, that he was already in the train station when a call came in which required his immediate attention.

He said: “I was among the passengers meant to be on the train last Monday because I had a meeting I was supposed to be attending. I was already at the train station when I got a call over an emergency and I had to leave the station to attend to it.”

The monarch complained further on the state of insecurity in the country.

Meanwhile, Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has blamed President Muhammadu Buhari for the recent attacks in Kaduna State.

The activist claimed that terrorists are attacking communities in Kaduna because President Buhari lived in the state from 1989 till 2015 when he became the President of Nigeria.

Omokri also condemned the co-coordinator of Bring Back Our Girls campaign, Oby Ezekwesili for protesting against Goodluck Jonathan which led to his removal from office in 2015. Read more
