The Enugu state Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Lands and Urban Development Mr. Augustine Udeh has regained his freedom and reunited with his family.
Naija News understands that Mr. Udeh made this known via a telephone conversation where he also re-emphasized that he is hale and hearty and thanked God for being rescued.
Recall that the permanent secretary was abducted in the evening hours of Sunday along the Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway.
Mr. Udeh Permanent Secretary thanked the Enugu state governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for his swift interventions and commended the swift security measures put in place to secure his release.
Mr Udeh while speaking after his release confirmed that no ransom was paid to secure his release.
While Mr. Udeh appreciated the security agencies in the state for their efforts in ensuring his release, the Enugu state permanent secretary also thanked the civil servants in the state for their endless support and prayers which he claimed played a vital role in ensuring his release.
