FG Works With APC Instead Of Gov Yusuf, Removed 3 DSS Directors In 3 Weeks – Kwankwaso Cries out

The 2023 presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso, has raised alarm that the federal government prefers to work with the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State instead of Governor Abba Yusuf‘s government.

The former governor of Kano State, Kwankwaso, claimed that while the federal government gave other state governments palliative rice to share to their citizens, Kano’s palliative was given to APC stalwarts to handle.

In a statement on his X handle, on Monday, the NNPP national leader stated that the federal government insulted Kano State government and is driving politics too far.

For the last one week I have been in Kano, and sadly I noted with great disappointment the Federal Government distribution of rice palliative to 35 states all through their Governors, except Kano State in the whole federation.

“Kano’s share was handed over to APC stalwarts to handle. This is a gross insult to our constitutional democracy and driving partisanship too far.

“I call on Mr. President to immediately halt this naked derailment of democracy,” Kwankwaso said.

The former Minister of Defence also revealed that there has been a change of Department of State Services (DSS) directors in the state, in a space of three weeks.

He explained that three state DSS directors have been appointed and replaced within three weeks. He noted that the situation has been affecting the state’s security.

I have also noted with great concern that within a span of just two weeks, 3 different State Directors of DSS were posted and reposted out of Kano and we are still counting. Without doubt this is negatively affecting the security of Kano State,Kwankwaso added.
