Tinubu Sends Message To Wike After Visit To Rivers

The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, has appreciated Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State for the friendly welcome he received on Wednesday.

Naija News reported that the former Governor of Lagos State met with Wike on Thursday evening at the Government House, Port Harcourt, the state capital.

The meeting also comes right after the APC presidential campaign rally which was held at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, Elekahia, Port Harcourt.

The meeting had in attendance prominent chieftains of the ruling party such as Tinubu’s running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima; APC National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu; Governors Abubakar Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi); Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos); David Umahi (Ebonyi); former Ekiti Governor Kayode Fayemi; Minister of State for Petroleum, Timipre Sylva, Tony Okocha and others.

In a tweet via his verified Twitter handle on Wednesday night, Tinubu commended Wike for the friendly welcome and most gracious manner in which he received him and his team.

He wrote: “Special appreciation, also, to Gov Nyesom Wike @GovWike for the friendly welcome and most gracious manner in which you received my team and me.”

Tinubu also appreciated Rivers people for the overwhelming show of love and support he received during his visit to the South-South state.

He wrote: “Thank you, Rivers, for the overwhelming show of love and support.”
