A leader in the All Progressives Congress has linked President Muhammadu Buhari to the delay in the screening of the presidential aspirants ahead of the primary of the party.
The party leader who spoke with Vanguard said President Buhari is personally handling the issue of consensus candidacy, adding that a lot would happen this week.
The source further stated the presidential primary of the Peoples’ Democratic Party has put pressure on the APC.
The National Chairman of the party, Abdullahi Adamu was accused by the party leader of not pulling his weight to make sure the presidential primary is held.
The party leader said, “Abdullahi Adamu is a mere stooge. Buhari is the one with the remote control. The week will determine many things. It’s going to be an interesting week. Whatever happens between Tuesday and Friday will shape everything.”
The likes of the national leader of the party, Bola Tinubu, Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi, Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, former Governor of Ogun State, Ibikunle Amosun, former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi and others would be hoping to clinch the presidential ticket of the ruling party.
