The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State, Emeka Beke has been suspended by the state executive council (SEC).
Beke was suspended from the party over alleged anti-party activities and financial misappropriation.
The SEC in a press conference in Port Harcourt, the state capital on Wednesday accused the state leader of the party and former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi of mobilizing members of the APC in the state to vote for the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar in the February 28 elections.

Chikere called on the national chairman of the APC, Abdullahi Adamu to set up a panel to investigate the financial activities of the party in Rivers State
The governorship candidate of the party, Tonye Cole lost to the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Siminalayi Fubara.
Cole at different times has expressed his intention to file a petition against the victory of the PDP governorship candidate.
The APC candidate claimed that there were manipulation of results and intimidation of voters during the electoral process held on the 18th of March, 2023.
