Russia Invasion: Ukraine Sends Message To FIFA And UEFA

The Football Association of Ukraine has demanded that FIFA and UEFA postpone their 2022 World Cup qualifier against Scotland on March 24.

According to Reuters the match between Ukraine and Scotland will take place at Hampden Park in Glasgow.

The winner of the match will play against Austria or Wales in November’s World Cup final at Qatar.

However, Ukraine has expressed it’s doubts in being ready for the match considering the present crisis happening in the country.

In related news, Volodymyr Zelensky, President of Ukraine, has called on Europe to wake up and take immediate action as they are the only ones capable of stopping Russia.

Zelensky stated this on Friday while revealing Russia’s shelling at Ukraine nuclear power plant overnight.

He called on Europe to make a move as this could mean the end of Europe. The station which was attacked by Russia is the largest nuclear station in Europe.

Zelensky said: “Europe must wake up now, the largest nuclear station in Europe is on fire. Right now, Russian tanks are shelling nuclear units. Those are the tanks that have thermal vision, so they know where they are shelling.” Read more
