Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode has displayed the spirit statesmanship by conceding defeat and congratulating his main contender Babajide Sanwo-Olu in the Lagos State APC governorship Primary election.
The Governor also vowed to support the All Progressives Congress, APC, to emerge winner of next year’s governorship election in Lagos.
APC NWC Panel Confirms Sanwo-Olu As Winner Of Lagos APC Governorship Primary
The National Working Committee panel of the All Progressives Congress has declared Babajide Sanwo-Olu as the winner of the Lagos governorship primary election which held on Tuesday.
Chairman of the panel, Clement Ebri confirmed this while addressing a press conference on the Lagos primaries on Wednesday in Lagos.
Buhari To Name Campaign Council After APC Convention
President Muhammadu Buhari has said that he will soon name the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) to lead the All Progressives Congress, APC, to victory in the February 2019 general elections.
This disclosure was made known in a press statement made available to Naija News by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Shehu Garba.
APC Primary: Sanwo-olu Applauded Ambode For Accepting Defeat
The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Lagos State, Mr, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has on Wednesday, applauded the governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode for conceding to defeat.
Naija News reported earlier yesterday that the controversial governorship primary in Lagos State had produced Sanwo-Olu, who is the anointed candidate of the National Leader of APC.
Delta APC Expels Senator Omo-Agege
Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, the senator Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial district in the National Assembly, has been expelled from the All Progressive Congress (APC) by the Cyril Ogodo-led Delta State executive of the party.
This move is an apparent reprisal to the expulsion of Olorogun O’tega Emerhor.
Convention: PDP Presidential Aspirants To Sign A Bond
In what appears a move aimed at causing a possible post-convention crisis, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has finalized plans to to commit all its Presidential aspirants in the 2019 general elections to a bond.
Expected to be signed this week, the bond concluded, following the party’s resolution at the 82nd National Executive Committee, NEC, meeting last week that all aspirants should unite behind the Presidential flag bearer after Saturday’s convention in Port Harcourt.
