Kebbi To Vaccinate Animals Across The State
The Kebbi state government says it will purchase vaccines worth N14 million to protect livestock against various animals diseases in the 21 local government areas of the state.
Mr Tanko Magaji, the Permanent Secretary for the State Ministry of Animal Husbandry disclosed today in Birnin Kebbi.
“We have gotten an approval from Governor Atiku Bagudu for the procurement of animals’ vaccines worth N14 million to vaccinate our animals,” he said.
Magaji said the vaccines to be procured included, lung, antibiotic and anti-stress among others.
He said that the state had veterinary doctors in all the area councils including border towns to check incoming and outgoing livestock and guard against outbreak of animal diseases.
He added that, “The state has five zones where we administer vaccines to animals for easy and effective coverage.
“The zones are: Argungu, Birnin Kebbi, Yauri, Koko and Zuru local government areas.”
