The Independent National Electoral Commission, the Police, and civil society are campaigning against violence, as Nigeria approaches election year.
Drawing on the recent crisis in Kaduna State, INEC promised to deliver free, fair and credible polls.
Civil organisations said the state must also be peaceful.
Police officials also asked young people to follow and promote peace.
Nigeria is set to hold general elections in 2019 where power would be handed over from the current set of democratically elected leaders to others as decided by the country’s electorate.
