CAN Reacts To Osinbajo’s Chopper Crash

The leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), on Sunday, February 3, expressed its dissatisfaction towards the Saturday’s helicopter crash that endangered the life of the vice president, Yemi Osinbajo and others abroad the flight.

CAN, on Sunday facilitated with the Vice President, for surviving the crash in Kabba, a suburb in Kogi state.

The President of the association, Rev. Samson Ayokunle, in a statement in Abuja, issued by his Special Assistant, Media and Communications, Pastor Adebayo Oladeji, also appreciated God for Osinbajo’s safety, and prayed that God continues to protect Nigeria from the claws of evil.

The statement made available to Naija News reads; “The leadership of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), is grateful to God and rejoiced with the Federal Government and the Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo for surviving a helicopter crash in Kabba, Kogi State, Saturday 2 February, 2019.

We give glory to God for sparing the life of the Vice President and his team from the helicopter crash while mobilising support for his party in preparation for the coming general elections.

We recalled that he had similar experience last year while visiting the Nigeria Customs College in Gwagwalada, Abuja.

It is our prayers that God will continue to watch over him and other top government functionaries in Jesus’ Name.

We urge the technical team or those responsible for the certification of the aircrafts and helicopters for use by the government officials to be more meticulous so as to avoid putting the lives of the users in danger.

May God continue to watch over our leaders and the rest of us in the name of Jesus,” the statement read.

Meanwhile, reactions from top government officials have continued to trail the crash which occured in Kogi state on Saturday. The former governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose took out time to facilitate with the vice president.
