Clinton To Visit Nigeria Before 2019 Elections

Ahead of the 2019 presidential elections in Nigeria, a former President of the United States of America, Bill Clinton, is expected to visit the country.

It was gathered by Naija News that Clinton will meet President Muhammadu Buhari, who is the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress and Atiku Abubakar, the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party.

Though details of the visit are still sketchy, diplomatic sources say Clinton may likely arrive in Nigeria on the 15th of February and return to the US the same day.

The meeting is expected to hold before the February 16 elections as both Buhari and Atiku will cast their votes in their home states of Katsina and Adamawa respectively.

Meanwhile, National Chairman of the PDP, Prince Uche Secondus, according to Punch, has confirmed knowledge of the planned visit by Clinton.

“We are aware; we have nothing to hide. All what we want is credible, fair and acceptable elections. We also don’t want interference from anyone concerning the workings of INEC and the security agents,” he said.
