Shehu Sani Condemns Xenophobic Attack, Fulani Herdsmen Killings

Senator Shehu Sani (PRP- Kaduna Central) has decried the xenophobic killing of two Nigerians in South Africa, as well as the early Monday morning attack on his state.

Naija News had reported earlier that Twenty persons were reported to have been killed in a renewed attack by suspected Fulani herdsmen in Ungwan Aku village, Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State today while scores reportedly sustained gunshot injuries.

The online news medium also had reported that two Nigerian men were stabbed to death during xenophobic attacks in Johannesburg and Cape Town of South Africa on April 5 and 6, 2019, respectively. The Assistant Public Relations Officer, Nigeria Union in South Africa, Mr. Odefa Ikele had confirmed the incident.

Taking to his verified Twitter handle @ShehuSani Tweeted

I was about to condemn the Killing of two Nigerians in South Africa,then the call that twenty people were killed in my constituency same day;I condemned both.Tragic Deaths at home and abroad.

The senator had earlier taken a swipe at governors who he noted spend much of their time in Abuja from Monday to Thursday in the name of holding meetings with President Muhammadu Buhari while their states are in flames.
