IGP Gives Fresh Order On Police Operations
The Inspector General of Police, Ag IGP Mohammed Adamu has ordered the immediate reversal of shift duty of police operatives to 8-hours standard duty.
Naija News reports the police boss gave the directive on Thursday while declaring open the conference of heads of Police Medical Facilities at the Force Head Quarters in Abuja.
Before the new directive, it is understood that the police ran a 12-hour, 2-shifts system but have now been ordered to immediately revert to the traditional 8-hours, 3-shifts duty standard.
A statement obtained by our reporter on the development reads:
“IGP orders immediate reversal of the shift duty structure of the @PoliceNG which is currently a 12-hour, 2-shifts system to the traditional 8-hours, 3-shifts duty standard while declaring open the conference of heads of Police Medical Facilities at the Force HQ.”
