The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Nigeria’s electoral umpire, has rescheduled Kogi and Bayelsa state governorship elections.
Naija News reports that INEC director of voter education and publicity, Festus Okoye, made this known in a statement on Thursday, May 16.
This online news platform understands that the commission moved the Kogi and Bayelsa elections initially scheduled to hold on November 2 to November 16.
The INEC director of voter education and publicity said the change in date was as a result of various appeals for the commission to reschedule the polls.
