Wife of President Muhammadu Buhari, Hajiya Aisha Buhari, has urged the National Social Investment Programme (N-SIP) to support the poor people in Katsina State.
Naija News reports that the wife of the President also urged the N-SIP to support those who are devastated by banditry in the state.
Mrs Buhari made this known on Saturday, June 1, when she had visited victims of banditry and distributed relief materials to them.
She noted that although N500 billion was released by the Federal Government to assist vulnerable Nigerians, only a few had benefited.
Mrs Buhari asked the IDPs if any of them had received the N10,000 assistance, the response was negative.
“National Social Investment Programme should go to Katsina state and give them their assistance.
“These people gave over one million votes during the general elections, they really need the assistance and they deserve to be given,” she said.
