The Abia state government under the leadership of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, has approved the sum of N6 billion to complete all ongoing road projects in the state.
Naija News reports that the state government approved the funds so as to complete the ongoing projects within the first 100 days of his second term in office.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Lagos state governor, Onyebuchi Ememanka, made this known on Monday in Umuahia, the Abia State capital.
The statement noted that construction activities would resume on Friday in Aba on the Umueze-ABSUTH-Udeagbala and Aba-Owerri roads.
In his statement, Ememanka was quoted to have said that N1 billion had been released to the contractor handling the Osisioma Flyover Project. The statement also noted that it was expected that the project would be completed within two months.
Other road projects to be completed include; the Ohanku road, Osusu road, Eziukwu road, Ururuka road, Emelogu road and Waterside Second Bridge.
