The Kaduna State High Court has adjourned his judgement on the application filed by Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, the leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN), also known as Shiites, seeking bail from detention.
Naija News understands that Justice Darius Khobo promised to rule on El-Zakzaky’s application on Monday, August 5th 2019.
Counsel to the El-Zakzakys, Mr Femi Falana, however, reminded the court that the health condition of his clients was getting worse by the day. He added that only a foreign medical treatment was required to stabilise them to enable them to face the main trial.
But, the prosecuting counsel Debris Bayero who opposed the bail application insisted that El-Zakzaky’s medical condition can be treated in Nigeria.
After listening to the submissions from both counsels, the presiding judge, Justice Darius Khobo adjourned the ruling on the application to August 5.
Recall that the federal government on Friday obtained the necessary court order to proscribe the Islamic Movement Organisation as a terrorist group.
