The Kaduna State High Court will today (Monday) deliver judgement on the bail application for the leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN), Ibrahim El-Zakzaky and his wife, Zeenat.
Naija News recalls that Justice Darius Khobo had on July 29, 2019, fixed today to rule on the application seeking permission to fly the duo to India for medical treatment.
This has led to the Kaduna State Police Command beefing up security to curtail any breach of peace in the state and its environs.
In a statement to newsmen on Sunday, the Command spokesperson, DSP Yakubu Sabo, assured that adequate measures had been put in place to safeguard lives and property.
He said: “In view of the court trial of Mallam Ibrahim El-Zakzaky on Monday, 5th August 2019, the peace-loving and law-abiding people of Kaduna State are to note that adequate security has been put in place for a hitch-free court appearance.
“Therefore, members of the public are advised to remain calm and not to be apprehensive where they observe security personnel in town.”
