Saraki Condemns Xenophobic Attacks
President of the Senate during the eighth National Assembly in Nigeria, Dr. Bukola Saraki has reacted to the latest xenophobic attack on Nigerians in South Africa.
Saraki who called on the government of both countries to take decisive steps on the matter, noted that every Nigerian life matter.
Recall Naija News reported on Monday that some Nigerians and other foreigners have sought refuge in the bushes until the situation calms down following the renewed attacks. 
The Nigerians are said to have been forced to flee their offices, homes and other public places.
Three people were also reportedly killed in the fresh attack on foreigners, including Nigerians living in South Africa.
According to a statement by Adetola Olubajo, president of the Nigeria Union South Africa, the attacks began on Sunday morning in Jeppestown area of Johannesburg. He said the angry mob set a building ablaze in the area.
While reacting, Saraki said on Tuesday via a statement on Twitter:
“I am saddened by the unfortunate events in South Africa. Nigerians should be allowed to carry out legitimate businesses without fear for their lives.”
“I encourage @NigeriaGov and @CyrilRamaphosa to take decisive actions that will send a strong message. Every Nigerian lives matter.”
