Protesters demanding the release of Omeyele Sowore who was arrested by the Department of State Security (DSS) over a planned Revolution Now protest will on Thursday, take their protest to the United Nations General Assembly in New York, United State.
Naija News understands that the protesters intend to approach the United Nations over the arrest of Sowore, publisher of Sahara reporters and two others, Adebayo Olawale and Agba Jalingo.
Recall that Sowore was arrested over the RevolutionNow protest on August 3, while Olawale was arrested on August 5 for allegedly participating in #RevolutionNow protest; and Jalingo, a journalist, who was also arrested on August 22, and have since been charged with treason.
This comes after the #RevolutionNow coalition on Wednesday, September 19 simultaneously held a peaceful protest in Lagos, United Kingdom and Italy.
