DSS Arrests ‘Wanted’ Maina

The Department of State Services (DSS) has reportedly arrested the fugitive former Chairman of the Pension Reform Task Team, Abdul-Rasheed Maina.

Naija News recalls that Maina was on July 21, 2015, charged before a Federal High Court on a 24-count charge bordering on procurement fraud and obtaining by false pretence.

INEC Publish Final List Of Candidates For Kogi Gubernatorial Elections

The final list of 24 candidates and political parties that will contest the Nov. 16 governorship election in Kogi State has been released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The All Progressives Congress in its message on the country’s 59th Independence Anniversary has pleaded with Nigerians to be careful of people planning to divide Nigeria.

The spokesperson of the ruling party in a statement on Monday commended Nigeria’s founding fathers who fought for independence as well as members of the Armed Forces, who have paid the supreme sacrifice to defend the country’s territorial integrity and unity.
