Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Femi Falana, has reacted to the resignation of the presidential candidate of Young Progressives Party, Kingsley Moghalu, from his party.
Naija News had earlier reported that Moghalu, announced his resignation from his party on his official Twitter account.
The former presidential candidate said he needs to push for a better electoral system before the 2023 general election and this step led to his decision to quit partisan politics.
Moghalu said, “Without electoral reform, which includes electronic voting, our democracy will remain weak. Let’s fix this before 2023.
The human right activist in his reaction accused Moghalu of resigning because he was given an appointment by the All Progressives Congress.
Falana while speaking at the 2019 Felabration symposium held at the NECA HOUSE, Lagos State, said “Is Dr. Moghalu still around? I think it is unfair to single out Dr Moghalu for recognition.”
He charged the people not to celebrate opportunist, who contested on the platform of a party and has moved conveniently to the APC.
Falana noted that he has been given an appointment and has discarded his own political party.
