The Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai has called for a full investigation into the sex-for-grade allegation levelled against a staff of Kaduna State University.
Governor El-Rufai while speaking on the allegation stated that the investigation will be carried out by the Attorney General of the State.
The Governor who took to his Twitter account revealed that the staff will be suspended by the university.
He said, “The suspension of Mr Umar by KASU is the first step. He and 15 lecturers sacked by nearby ABU Zaria for sexual harassment will be fully investigated & prosecuted by the Attorney General of Kaduna State. We must face evil & end this scourge in our state.”
The management of the institution on Wednesday had set up a committee to investigate Mr A.B Umar over alleged sex for grade allegation levelled against him.
The allegations were levelled against the staff of KASU by a female graduate of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, who protested in KASU.
Prof. Abdullahi Ashafa, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academics, who chaired the meeting emphasized that the institution had zero tolerance for such behaviour by its staff.
