The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, on Tuesday in Abuja called on the National Assembly to hasten the passage of the Special Crimes Court Bil.
The President made the call while speaking at the National summit on Diminishing Corruption in the Public Service organized by the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) in conjunction with the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
He, therefore, urged the judiciary to embrace and support the creation of Special Crimes Court.
The president said further that the fight against corruption is of course not only for government and anti-corruption agencies alone but All arms and tiers of government must develop and implement the anti-corruption measures.
President Buhari noted that the passage of the Bill is a specific priority of this administration’s Economic Recovery & Growth Plan 2017-2020.
