Naija News earlier reported that operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) have rearrested activist and publisher, Omoyele Sowore today.
This follows an initial report that DSS stormed the premises of the Abuja Federal High Court to arrest the #RevolutionNow convener but were resisted by other activists in court.
Meanwhile, Nigerians have taken to Twitter to react to the development.
Why is Sowore rearrested again… What is so special about Sowore, is there something the citizens didn’t know about Sowore @MBuhari @ProfOsinbajo #DSS pls free Sowore.

The DSS isn’t doing any good to the Federal Government with the way they are handling Sowore’s case. I’m not a fan of Sowore but I implore the Federal Government to intervene and put a stop to this mess. Court orders should be obeyed!

They came for Simon, you didn’t say anything, they came for tunde, you didn’t say anything, they came for Sowore, you didn’t act as if it concerns you.
Never forget, tyranny is always enough to go round.
Never forget! #FreeSoworeNow #FreeSowore

My fellow Nigerians. Sowore incarceration is beginning to become inhuman and right before our eyes the government is showing us the we no longer have “freedom of expression” let’s all fight the cause and trend #FreeSoworeNow https://t.co/WEpvZniVey

The worst is that Orji Uzor Kalu did not go to prison fighting for his people as Sowore and Nnamdi kanu did, he is in prison for fighting against his own people.
*Welldone sir*
Congratulations sir

It is obvious that this government never intended proving their case against Sowore in a court of law.
They just want to detain him like Dasuki, in pepertuity.
Going to court in the first place was all sports and games for them.
Tueeh.

BREAKING:The DSS rearrested #Sowore this morning. Police State Theory confirmed! @MBuhari is a copycat of comrade Josef Stalin of defunct USSR.
— john danfulani (@john_danfulani) December 6, 2019
If the DSS did that to Sowore in court, and use guns to chase the judge away in broad daylight, imagine what Sars officials will do to you in the night.
— BEREEK (@BEREEK_iam) December 6, 2019
The DSS actions command no respect for me & if u respect them, good for u, I don’t. I don’t fancy people who have no regard for rule of law. I have used the remaining 5MB respect I have for them to download ‘Mafo’ by Naira Marley and Young John. #Sowore pic.twitter.com/cJXeowVTaV

Do you see how useless the PDP is?
Total silence on this mass impunity, high-handedness, squandermania, and gangsterism of this govt.
This Sowore situation should be when the PDP raise their voice for Nigerians
They only lament and cry when they are rigged out in elections.

Who has Nigeria erred??
What have we done to deserve this tyrannical regime??
This is absurd#Sowore pic.twitter.com/ziOQf2aH47

Imagine being arrested at a court hearing… This country is both lawless and a disgrace to mother law. Free Sowore for goodness sakes… This is Tyranny at its peak. pic.twitter.com/XCeDdpzGCU

We are no longer practising democracy in Nigeria. The indecent arrest and harassment of journalists and activists in Nigeria is quite unfortunate.
It is Sowore today, it may be you tomorrow.#FreeSoworeNow pic.twitter.com/s7Xgsrjqky

Seriously?..
DSS is trying to arrest Sowore again??
If we’re being honest with ourselves, Buhari is kind of headstrong and this is unfair.

This was about Sowore. It is now about the rule of law. What happened today is an attack on the rule of law, Sowore was just the victim. So you better fix your understanding and wake up to it. How can you possibly even try to defend this? https://t.co/IgsIsm32TU

Some people are quiet over the ongoing assault on our Judiciary under President Buhari. They think what is happening to Omoyele Sowore is funny. Little do they know that one day, they will be the victim
— Obinna Nwosu (@obi_Nwosu) December 6, 2019
What we all need to realize is that this isn’t just Sowore’s business. This isn’t just his freedom at risk.
This is all of our freedom(s) at risk here. We’re staring down a horrid road lined with this kind of occurrences and the social media bill to make sure we don’t complain.
