Reports reaching Naija News at this time confirms that President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived Maiduguri, Borno State, to sympathize with the family of those that were recently killed in an attack in the state.
This comes some days after Naija News reported that Boko Haram terrorists launched an attack on travelling passengers in Auno, a town 20 kilometres from Maiduguri, resulting to the death of at least 30 persons while no less than 18 vehicles were also completely burnt.
This media platform understands that President Buhari who was away in Ethiopia when the incident happened, touched down in Borno State today, after departing the African Union Summit.
It was reported also that the President during the Borno tour will visit Shehu of Borno’s Palace to pay his condolence to the people and Government of the State.
Though it was not clear if the President will also visit Auno, where the horrible killing took place, it was stated that he will proceed to Government House of the State to meet the state governor, Professor Zulum.
The President’s visit was coming after former Borno State Governor, Senator Kashim Shettima, called on the Nigerian Defence Headquarters to constitute a panel to look into the killing of 30 travellers in Auno, Borno State by Boko Haram.
