Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has added two weeks to the stay at home order issued to civil servants in Kano state.
This is in a bid to allow his intervention measures against the dreaded Coronavirus to take full effect.
According to gov. Ganduje, there was the need for more time, in order to actively cover the entire State with government interventions.
He gave the order today, while receiving a report of the COVID-19 Fundraising Committee at Government house.
According to the governor, the increasing number of COVID-19 cases being recorded in the country has made the directive imperative.
So far, Kano state hasn’t recorded any case, the governor said the border closure and partial lockdown of social activities would remain to keep the state safe.
