President Muhammadu Buhari’s Personal Assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, has reacted to Nigeria’s 0-1 defeat to Tunisia on Sunday night in Cameroon.
Naija News reports that the Super Eagles were knocked out of the round of 16 stages last night in the ongoing 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, in Cameroon.
The development resulted in a series of expression of bitterness by Nigerians who have invested their time and emotions in the African tournament, only to see their home team kicked out by the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia.
Reacting to the loss via his social media page, Twitter precisely, Ahmad said the Super Eagles of Nigeria will avenge their AFCON defeat on Ghana during the World Cup playoffs.
The presidential aide expressed hope that the Super Eagles will beat Ghana in WC playoffs as the nation can’t afford to miss the World Cup in Qatar later in the year.
Ahmad’s tweet reads: “A severe revenge will surely be taken on Ghana in the upcoming World Cup playoffs. We can’t afford to not be in Qatar.”
Meanwhile, former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has blamed President Muhammad Buhari after the Super Eagles crashed out of the ongoing AFCON games.
Naija News recalls that President Buhari in a video call earlier on Sunday urged the Super Eagles to continue their superb display against Tunisia in the ongoing African Cup Of Nations (AFCON).
The Nigerian team, however, got kicked out of the tournament hours after the president’s cheers.
Reacting to the Super Eagles loss, Reno Omokri questioned why it is on the day Buhari called the Nigerian team they lost out of the tournament.
According to the former presidential aide, energies are contagious and people should be spiritually conscious.
In his words; ”Iwobi red card, Iheanacho yellow card. All the time they have been playing this never happened. Why is it that it is the day that they spoke to Buhari that these series of unwelcome events rained on us! This is not about political feat at all. This is about being spiritually conscious.
“Energies are very contagious. Avoid negative people!”
