A renewed battle for supremacy among two terror groups has seen members of the Boko Haram group engage in a deadly fight with their ISWAP counterparts.
During the encounter, the Boko Haram fighters loyal to Buduma killed scores of ISWAP terrorists at a makeshift gravesite in the Lake Chad region.
According to a video made available by PR Nigeria, the ISWAP fighters were first paraded before they were slaughtered.
Some of the ISWAP terrorists were also burnt alive inside gun trucks, sparking tension of possible reprisal attacks.
Meanwhile, soldiers of the Nigerian Army have killed several terrorists who attempted to infiltrate Wulgo and Marte axis in Borno State.
The terrorists belong to the Boko Haram/ISWAP groups according to information made available to Naija News on Tuesday by the Nigerian Army.
According to the Army, the troops deployed under Operation Desert Sanity recorded the victory over the terrorists in continuation of ongoing clearance operations.
Weapons, ammunition, and gun trucks were recovered from the operation.
“In continuation of ongoing operations & dominating the battlefield, troops of Operation Desert Sanity today neutralized several ISWAP/Bokoharam terrorists who attempted to infiltrate Wulgo & Marte axis in Borno State. Weapons & gun trucks amongst others were recovered.” the Army statement read.
