Former Senate President, Bukola Saraki has prayed for the safe return of the Abductees from the Abuja-Kaduna railway attack in March as families across the country celebrate Ramadan.
Taking to Twitter, the presidential aspirant urged Nigerians to pray for the safe return of the victims of the train attack that are still in the den of the kidnappers.
He wrote: “As we celebrate Eid today with our own families, my thoughts are with the families whose loved ones have been kidnapped — especially those from the recent Abuja-Kaduna train abductions.
Let us all pray that these families will soon be reunited with their loved ones.”
On March 28, 2022 bandits attacked Abuja–Kaduna train in Katari, Kaduna State, Nigeria.
In response, the Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC) briefly halted operations along the route.
In other news, the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, has ordered heavy nationwide deployment of Police officers for adequate security during the Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
Baba directed that all Eid prayer grounds, highways, recreational centres, and financial institutions especially ATM and POS points be heavily guided during the celebration.
In a statement on Sunday by the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the IGP particularly ordered the deployment of intelligence operatives, traffic officers and other operational assets of the Force to the listed flashpoints. Read more
