The People’s Democratic Party’s Presidential aspirant and former vice president Atiku Abubakar has reacted to the gruesome killing at a Catholic Church in Ondo State.
In a statement on Twitter, Atiku condemned the attack and offered prayers for the people of Owo and the families of the deceased.
Atiku also urged the State government under the administration of Rotimi Akeredolu and security agencies to leave no stone unturned in apprehending the perpetrators and bringing them to justice.
The presidential aspirant also expressed optimism that someday there would be a lasting solution to the incessant killings across the country.
He wrote: “I condemn the attack on the St Francis Catholic Church, Owa-luwa Street, in Owo council area of Ondo State capital. My prayers are with the people of Owo, especially families of the deceased”
“I do hope that the state government and relevant security agencies will leave no stone unturned in apprehending the criminals and bringing them to justice. I condole with the body of Catholic faithful in Nigeria”
“I pray that someday, very soon, we shall have a lasting solution to this painful episode”
