The Vice President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo on Wednesday presided over the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting in Abuja.
Naija News reports Osinbajo took charge of the meeting as President Muhammadu Buhari is currently away on a medical trip to London.
The meeting, which is a hybrid edition, held at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa with some members in physical attendance while others joined online.
Some of the FEC members that attended physically were the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, and the Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari.
Others are the Ministers of Industry, Trade and Investments, Niyi Adebayo; Interior, Rauf Aregbesola; Sports and Youth Development, Sunday Dare; and Science and Technology, Adeleke Mamora.
Also, the Ministers of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mahmood Abubakar; Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, Minister of State for Health, Ekumankama Joseph Nkama; and the Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investments, Mariam Katagum attended physically.
FEC Honours Amaechi
The council held a minute’s silence in honour of the late Minister of Aviation, Chief Mbazulike Amaechi after the SGF, Mustapha officially notified the members of the death of the elder statesman.
As previously reported by Naija News, Amaechi died on Monday at the age of 92.
