At least 8 Nigerians have won the positions they ran for during the United States mid-term elections in Georgia, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, and the District of Columbia (DC).
The chairperson of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa, In a message on Twitter, congratulated the winners of the election on their success.

Nigerians who contested and won the mid-term elections in the United States include Segun Adeyinka, Gabe Okoye, Solomon Adesanya, Tish Naghishe, Phil Olaleye, Carol Kazeem, Oye Owolewa and Esther Agbaje.
The candidates have become members of the House of Representatives in the United States of America on the platform of the ruling Democratic Party.
The election comes at a time when Americans are grappling with sky-high inflation and living costs, and the economy has emerged as the top concern among supporters of both the Democratic and Republican parties.
