A former Senator representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani has mocked the Federal Government for spending N12 billion to acquire ten firefighting trucks for various airports in the country.
Naija News earlier reported that the Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, disclosed that the federal government spent a whopping sum of N12 billion to acquire the firefighting trucks.
In a tweet via his official Twitter handle on Sunday, Sirika said he commissioned the ten firefighting trucks for the Federal Airports Authority (FAAN), adding that the agency had not bought firefighting trucks in 15 years.
Reacting to the development via his Twitter account on Monday, Sani prayed to God to protect Nigerians from the kind of airport fire that would demand the use of such expensive firefighting vehicles.
He wrote: “May The Almighty protect us all from the kind of Airport fire that would demand the use of such expensive fire fighting vehicles. Ameen”

Tinubu: Shehu Sani Reacts As DSS Confirms Plot To Create Interim Government
Meanwhile, Sani has reacted after the Department of State Services (DSS), confirmed the plot to stop the swearing-in of President-elect, Bola Tinubu.
Naija News earlier reported that (DSS) on Tuesday disclosed that it has identified some key individuals plotting to scuttle the May 29 handover to a new government and force an interim government in Nigeria.
According to the DSS in a statement by its spokesperson, Peter Afunanya, the plot by the identified individuals is to set aside the constitution and undermine civil rule, sponsor mass protests as well as plunge the country into an avoidable crisis in order to make way for the planned interim government.
