NLC Makes Demands From Tinubu’s Administration (Full List)
The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) have revealed their demands from President Bola Tinubu-led government.
Naija News had earlier reported that the organised labour unions, on Tuesday, embarked on a nationwide strike over the assault on NLC president Joe Ajaero.
The organised labour directed its affiliates to implement the resolutions of the National Executive Council.
NLC, in a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), listed its demands from the Federal Government, calling for the arrest of some government personnel.
CBN Speaks On Banning Old N200, N500 And N1000 Notes
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on Tuesday announced that it has extended the validity of the old N200, N500 and ₦1,000 notes indefinitely.
The apex bank’s Director of Corporate Communications, Isa AbdulMumin, disclosed this in a statement titled, “CBN To Allow Old Design Naira Banknotes As Legal Tender.
Abdulmumin said the decision is in line with international best practices and to forestall a repeat of earlier experiences implementing the policy.
