Nigeria midfielder Raphael Onyedika is on track to make his return for Club Brugge in their final game of 2024.

Recall that Raphael Onyedika missed the club’s recent 2-2 draw against Union St. Gilloise due to a minor injury. Ahead of Club Brugge’s last game of the year, there is optimism surrounding the recovery of the Nigeria international.

Brugge coach Nicky Hayen commented on Onyedika’s situation, stating, “He experienced some discomfort in the adductors just before the end of the last training session.”

However, he added, “We will see how he progresses. There’s a possibility he could be ready to play again on Thursday.”

Brugge who are currently sitting in second place with 38 points, trailing leaders Genk by just two points, will host Westerlo on Boxing Day.

Meanwhile, Manchester United star Leny Yoro has expressed confidence in his decision to join the club last summer, despite facing some early challenges.

The 19-year-old defender, who joined United from LOSC Lille in a deal worth €62 million plus €8 million in add-ons, was the most expensive player aged 18 or younger and one of the most costly centre-backs in history.

While Yoro had a rocky start, including an ankle injury sustained during a pre-season friendly against Arsenal, he remains positive about his move.

“I have no regrets about joining Manchester United. I always aspired to play abroad, especially in the Premier League. It’s the dream of every footballer”, he told Telefoot in France.
