Music executive and businessman, Ubi Franklin has stated that he is neither a personal assistant nor nanny to Afrobeats superstar, Davido.
He made the clarification while replying to an X user’s comment referring to him as a personal assistant to the DMW boss and his wife.
The former artiste manager explained that he works as a business administrator, adding that Davido refers to him as a solutionist.
He wrote, “Ubi is the CEO of Mademusicg, and if you see me working for Davido, it’s because I have the required qualifications and experience to do the job of a business administrator.
“David calls me #thesolutionist, do with that what you want. Definitely not his PA or nanny like most of you have tried to taunt me with. If that makes you happy, so be it. I am on the business end, and that’s where I’ll always be.”
I Overcame A Lot Of Challenges Because Of My Father – Davido
Meanwhile, Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, aka Davido, has shared how his father, Adedeji Adeleke, pushed him to have faith in God.
The singer explained that his father’s lessons about having faith in God keep him motivated in the face of challenges.
He disclosed this in a recent podcast interview with Rollingout.
Davido spoke about his upbringing in a Christian home and the impact of his father’s religious lessons on his life.
According to him, he has been able to overcome difficult times because his dad taught him to never question God.
He said, “My dad is very successful, but he’s an elder in the church. I grew up as a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. I attended a Christian college.
“I overcame a lot of challenges because of my dad. Initially, I did not understand, but now I’ve come to the realization. I was angry. Sometimes, I was like, ‘Why do bad things happen to good people?’ And my dad told me that you can’t question God.
“I was like, ‘What do you mean you can’t question God?’ And then a year later [after the death of my son, Ifeanyi], we had twins, the biggest album of my career came, and my first Grammy nominations came. Then it started to make sense. People go through different challenges, but just know that God has your back.”
