Hardship Is So Much, Fix Nigeria, Don't Attack Davido - Ruggedman To Govt

Veteran rapper, Michael Ugochukwu Stephens, popularly known as Ruggedman, has berated those criticising his colleague, Davido, over his comment on the harsh Nigerian economy.

Recall that Davido, in a viral podcast, had discouraged people from moving back to Nigeria.

He warned that the Nigerian economy is in shambles.

Davido’s submission was greeted with heavy criticism as some people claimed that he was discouraging investors from visiting the country.

Reacting, Ruggedman said Davido’s comment was on point.

He urged the government to fix the economy so that no one would make similar comments in the future.

He pointed out that criticising Davido isn’t fixing the country, stressing that the hardship is unbearable.

Speaking via his X handle, he wrote, “Ok Davido has said what he said, moving forward the government should fix Nigeria so nobody will say such again. All this barking all over the place is not fixing the nation. The hardship is too much.”

Davido Reveals Current ‘Biggest’ Rapper In Nigeria

Meanwhile, Davido, has claimed that his colleague, Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, is currently the biggest rapper in Nigeria.

Naija News reports that Davido made this known on the American podcast, The Baller Alert Show, while discussing his upcoming album and lead single.

Davido disclosed that his next album will arrive in the first quarter of 2025, adding he will soon release another lead single titled ‘Funds’ featuring Odumodublvck and Chike.

“I will be releasing my new album next year. I’m trying to make real African records. I have another lead single coming out soon titled ‘Funds.’ It’s featuring the current biggest rapper in Nigeria, Odumodublvck, and Chike. Chike is the Bryson Tiller of Nigeria,” he said.
