‘I’m Begging On My Knees’ – Speed Darlington’s Mother Pleads With Burna Boy For Son’s Release

Queen, the mother of Nigerian artist Darlington Okoye, widely known as Speed Darlington, has made an emotional appeal to Grammy-winning musician Burna Boy, pleading for her son’s release after he reportedly went missing.

This development follows Darlington’s recent online video about Burna Boy, which appears to have stirred controversy.

In a tearful video posted on Instagram, Queen, identifying herself as Darlington’s mother, alleged that Burna Boy and his team came to her son’s home and took him away, according to information provided by Darlington’s security personnel.

Good day everyone, I am Mrs. Queen, the mother of Darlington, also known as Speed Darlington. I was informed that my son is missing. His gateman alerted our family, sharing that Burna Boy visited with his team and took Darlington from his home. Please, Darlington is my only son, my only child,” she said, visibly distressed.

You people, all Darlington’s fans should help to beg Burna Boy. Burna Boy, please temper justice with mercy. Forgive Darlington, this is me, Darlington’s biological mother, I am begging, I don’t know what to say other than begging.

“I am a mother, grandmother. He is my only son, forgive him. I am just asking for forgiveness. Burna Boy, please. Please, forgive my son, release him. All Darlington’s fans out there, please help me to beg Burna Boy for the release of Darlington.

“Nigerians, please come to son’s aid. Please, I am begging, I am on my knees begging, I am just begging. I have no words, I have nothing to say than to beg Burna Boy. Burna Boy please, I am on my knees,” she pleaded.

Meanwhile, Naija News earlier reported that Deji Adeyanju, a lawyer and activist, confirmed that Speed Darlington, also known as Akpi, is in police custody in Abuja.

According to Adeyanju, Darlington was detained in Lagos on Friday and subsequently transferred to Abuja. The arrest reportedly followed a complaint from Burna Boy, although additional details on the matter have yet to emerge.
