Nigerian singer, Bella Shmurda has denied reports alleging that he was assaulted by suspected cultists during a concert at the Lagos State University (LASU) on Thursday.
The show, which was hosted by Poco Lee, a dancer and famous alumnus of the school, had invited guest like Bella Schmurda, who is a fellow LASU alumnus to perform.
Reports quoted students of the school stating that the disruption of the concert was caused by cultists known as ‘Ojo boys’ who beat up Bella Shmurda and did not allow him to perform, as well as organizers selling more tickets than the hall capacity.
A viral video from the concert shows security officials guiding Bella Shmurda to a safe place away from the public.
Reacting to the reports, the singer via his Instagram page on Friday denied claims that he was slapped by cultists.
He also called out bloggers and those spreading the false news, noting that they have all missed his presence on social media.
“Who slap una papa? Dear bloggers dem tell una, una no even surprise. I figured, una don miss me,” he wrote on Instagram Story.
The singer also shared a video of himself partying.
