According to the thespian, he went to greet a few people in Anambra State when some fans solicited help from him.

Agu said he decided to buy some loaves of bread for them, unknowing the crowd kept increasing.

The actor added that an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, who saw the crowd, thought he was canvassing votes for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

He said, “I finished a shoot in Asaba and came to Onitsha and wanted just to say hello to a few people, but they walled me out of hunger, serious hunger that I had to say, let me buy some loaves of bread, but as I was buying the population was increasing.

“I didn’t even know when the soldiers came until the way they did, It is not a thing you will find in a civilized country. What I heard from some people after the event was that an APC man was watching the crowd multiplying and was thinking that I was gathering votes for PDP.”
