2024-2025 NPFL Matchday 18 Results, Table Standings Ahead Of Christmas

Remo Stars are going into the Christmas holiday sitting on top of the 2024-2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) table with 33 points in 18 games.

Remo Stars grabbed the first spot in the NPFL table after beating Bayelsa United 2-0 on Sunday, December 22 at their home stadium in Ikenne, Ogun state.

On the other hand, Rivers United, who are the major contenders for the NPFL title, dropped two points during their visit to Nasarawa as Nasarawa United drew 1-1 with coach Finidi George’s boys.

The draw forced Rivers United to lose their first spot and moved to the second position on goal difference.

Shooting Stars, who were the only side that recorded an away win on matchday 18, are currently sitting in the third spot on the league table with 30 points in 18 games, thanks to their unexpected win over reigning champions, Enugu Rangers.

Despite the stunning 1-0 defeat at the hands of Shooting Stars, Enugu Rangers remain fourth on the league table with 28 points in 18 games.

Following last weekend, Akwa United, who still have a game in hand, are sitting bottom of the league table, Plateau United, who also have a game in hand, are placed 19th, and Lobi Stars are 18th with 19 points in 18 games.
