2023: Atiku Speaks On Using Peter Obi’s Photo To Campaign In Northern States

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has denied using the photos of Labour Party (LP) flagbearer, Peter Obi, to campaign in northern states.

Naija News reports that Atiku made this known through the spokesperson of the PDP presidential campaign council, Daniel Bwale.

Recall that the campaign posters of Atiku alongside Petr Obi made the rounds online and a video showing bags of rice bearing the face of the former Governor of Anambra state with the logo of PDP also caused outrage online.

While responding to questions on Arise Television Morning Show programme on Thursday, Bwala made the clarification on the campaign materials, stating it did not emanate from the PDP.

He said: “That is not true to have emanated from us. Why I am saying that is because if you go to Bauchi now, people are even reporting that the Governor of Bauchi State is with the G-5. So, could he be behind that? Certainly no.”

Tinubu Stopped Obasanjo From Taking Over Lagos

Meanwhile, former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, has said the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, stopped former President Olusegun Obasanjo from taking over Lagos State while he was Governor.

Naija News reports that the former Governor of Edo State made this known on Thursday while speaking at the APC presidential campaign rally in Benin City m, the state capital.

Oshiomhole said Tinubu fought to maintain and defend the multiparty democracy in Nigeria when the former President wanted to turn the country into a one-party state.

He said despite Obasanjo’s effort to take over Lagos after taking over other South West states, the former President failed and Tinubu won the battle and reclaimed other states later.
